Following last week’s launch of the iPhone 4s in the first batch of seven countries, Apple is set to debut a new device in 22 countries over next Friday, October 28th. Apple’s online store with new states are beginning to take pre-orders for iPhone 4s today, giving customers in new markets the chance to join the queue for delivery. Launch of new countries including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland .
Apple’s online store will not operate in all markets, however, and so the new pre-orders to unlock the iPhone 4s model by Apple is only available in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg , Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Customers in other countries and those looking to buy a subsidized unit in the contract will be able to arrange for pre-order through their local partner carrier iPhone 4s.
Rather than promise delivery by October 28 for pre-order a new batch of iPhone 4s state, says Apple is now shipping estimate of 1-2 weeks. It is not known whether Apple plans to meet the original October 28th or whether availability will slip slightly in the face of strong demand in markets where the device is launched. Apple has announced the opening week sales of four million units for the iPhone 4S, more than double that of the iPhone 4 years ago.
